Hey all, The Union is doing maintenance in the room we would normally have our weekly meetings, so our meeting space has been temporarily moved to SU 316 for tomorrow, 2/11, at 6:30 pm. Again, this meeting will be an opportunity to learn more about Tandem Weekend & the process of getting your license. If you have any questions, this meeting is a good place to ask. Just like before, you may sign up for tandem weekend here: https://skydivect.com/uconn. If you have any desire to get your license and start competing in skydiving, please let us know! UConn provides your best opportunity to join the sport (and we’re the number one civilian collegiate skydiving team in the country!) We will meet in our normal space (SU 106A) next week. Club Sports Registration Is Now Open!

Hi all, Just sending out a quick reminder that if you are interested in joining the skydiving team (or any other club sport) this semester, the Rec Center opened registration last week. You do not need to be a licensed skydiver to join the team, and you can still come to any of our indoor skydiving sessions. If you’re planning on getting your license, team equipment will also be available to you. Registration closes on February 14th. You can find more information on the Rec’s website (https://recreation.uconn.edu/club-sports/prospective-athletes/) under How to Register for a Club Sport: If you weren’t able to go on a tandem jump yet, we’ll be hosting another tandem weekend this April 12th and 13th! The price for a jump will be $230, and, as always, we will work with you if you do not have a ride. Tandem Weekend Recap and Upcoming Skydiving Opportunities!

Hello everyone, We had a fun and exciting Tandem Weekend last weekend!! Thank you to everyone who joined us! If you missed it, don’t worry—we’ll be hosting another Tandem Weekend in the spring semester, in *April*. Stay tuned for more details as the date approaches. In the meantime, if you’re interested in earning your skydiving license, we have two information sessions coming up: - *This Wednesday, 10/2, at 6:30 pm* in SU 322 - *Next Wednesday, 10/9, at 6:30 pm* in SU 318 We’ll cover everything you need to know about the Accelerated Freefall (AFF) program and how to get started.
